Report content and block someone
In short. You can report a message, a marketplace listing or an answer from Sam, and you can block a person or stop messages from an organisation. A moderator reviews every report within 24 hours, every day of the week.
How to report
- A message. In a conversation, in the app or on the web, open the menu on the message (the ⋯ button, or press and hold on mobile) and choose Report.
- A marketplace listing. Open the listing and choose Report.
- An answer from Sam. Choose Report this answer under the answer.
- Without the app. Email hello@stridehub.app with a link or a description of what you saw, and why you think it should not be there.
You choose a reason: harassment, hate or abuse, sexual content, spam or a scam, something illegal or unsafe, animal welfare, or other. For a listing you can also say it is misleading or that it impersonates someone. You can add a note. You do not need an account to email us.
How to block
- A person on the marketplace. Choose Block from the conversation or the listing. They can no longer message you, and neither of you can share a horse with the other.
- An organisation, as a rider. Choose Stop messages from the organisation in the conversation. You keep getting its operational notices, such as booking confirmations, entries, receipts and payment reminders.
- An organisation blocking a contact. Owners and managers can choose Block this contact in a conversation. Bookings, entries and membership records are not affected.
- Change your mind. You can see and remove your blocks at any time: in the mobile app under More, then Blocked users and organisations, and on the web in your settings.
The person you block is not told that you did.
What happens next
- A moderator at Stride Technologies Limited reads the report and the reported item, and acts within 24 hours. They can hide a message, take a listing down, stop an account from messaging or listing, or decide that no action is needed.
- A listing reported for animal welfare is taken down straight away while we look at it, and so is a listing that three different people report.
- We tell you what we decided. We also tell the person whose content was hidden, or whose account was restricted, what we did and why. We never tell them who reported them.
- We keep the report, your note and a copy of the item while the report is open and for 12 months after we close it. After that your identity and note are deleted and only an anonymised outcome is kept. The Privacy Policy has the details.
- If you think we got it wrong, email hello@stridehub.app and we will look again.
